CHS Senior: caroline g.
It was a chilly, late winter/early spring day for Caroline’s senior portrait session. I believe the temps were in the 40s. There was even still a touch of snow in places. But, it was sunny and somehow, I ran around without a coat for the whole session. Even Caroline, who was outside in a dress at one point commented on how it didn’t feel nearly as bad as the weather indicated. So, basically, it was a day meant for a senior session.
We started her session at a perennial favorite spot, CHS. I love to photograph at the school because if not for CHS, would you be having a senior session taken? Likely not. Plus, our school is a stunner. It’s a great spot to include in your session.
Look at this stunning photo with our gorgeous courthouse shining in the background. This is a view that we don’t normally see of this majestic building. Good thing Caroline has connections who get to see this view out their window every single day!
See? A dress. In the 40s. And yes, that’s snow on the stairs behind her. I love this photo and love the touch of snow. That’s not something you often see in a senior session around here!
We ended Caroline’s session at the studio with some of my favorite senior portrait studio shots to date. This one required me, her mom, and her grandmother shifting things around for the perfect look while Caroline just got to lay on the floor. And comfy on a pillow to boot!
I’ve known Caroline since she was a tiny girl with curls in preschool. I’ve loved having her as a member of the CHP Rep Team for two years and will definitely miss her quiet, funny presence when she’s not at our photoshoots next year.
It’s been fun seeing all she’s done during her time in Carlinville and it’s going to be even more fun to see where life takes her as she heads off to school this fall in Mississippi!
