cap and gown: olivia k

I was so excited when one of my favorite 2022 seniors, Olivia, asked to do a cap and gown session at the end of her senior year at Gillespie High School.

We got together on another (surprise, surprise) windy day at met at my favorite place for cap and gown portraits, the courthouse.

Did I make her navigate around some air conditioning units for this photo?

I did.

Do you see her hair blowing like crazy in the wind?

You don’t. That’s because we found the one place in all of Macoupin County that was protected from the wind.

After a quick session at the courthouse, we jumped in our cars and headed to Blackburn for a few more. Blackburn was a favorite stop during her senior session, so why not head back there for a few cap and gowns?

The redbud trees on campus came to play for her session, didn’t they???

(Are they redbud trees? Am I making this up trying to sound smart but actually am making myself sound clueless?) Clearly, I’m no arborist.

Olivia will be moving to Edwardsville after graduation where she will surely be getting lots and lots of visits from her wonderful mom. We adore those two at CHP!
