You know a senior session is going to be fun when one of your locations requires a photography permit. That’s exactly what happened with Peyton’s late summer St. Louis session from just a few weeks ago. But first, we started on Washington Avenue.
Peyton jumped out of her car really quickly and stood beside it so I could catch this photo. Ok, maybe that’s not entirely true…maybe I just saw an adorable Maserati perfectly placed for a photo cute photo and made it happen!
We walked down the street, stopping whenever I found a spot that looked like a cute photo op. On Washington Avenue, there are plenty of those spots! After we finished our stroll, we circled back and went to the location that was the focus of her session.
The St. Louis Public Library branch on Olive Street!
The building is gorgeous both inside and out. The building runs the gamut from classic and gorgeous to sleek and modern. It’s a dream for a photographer with so many locations from which to choose!
Just look at the gorgeous columns and windows in this place! I would have loved to be able to bring in lights and really see what we could do in here but alas, that goes against the rules of their permits.
A few steps away from the classic architecture and we find a room filled with light and windows and glass. This white background made Peyton’s jewel toned wardrobe choices really pop!
After we finished at the Public Library, and after a quick wardrobe change, we headed to one of Peyton’s favorite places…Busch Stadium! It was a game day that day but luckily, the game was over and we were able to walk around and grab photos all around the ballpark.
The weather was PERFECT for a senior session. We had a brief respite from the heat that plagued us all month long in September so walking around downtown with Peyton and her mom who I adore (and of course, with my Lauren!) was so much fun.
Finally on our way back to the car, I saw this perfect opportunity to photograph Peyton in front of the Ballpark Village sign. It ended up being one of my very favorites of the day!
I always say that Peyton is one of the people I could photograph all day long and not get bored. She has a gorgeous smile, is hilarious, and also can give a smolder like few others can. It’s always a great time when I know I’m going to have her in front of my camera. And an even better day when her mom is standing beside me and Lauren watching for hair fixes that need to be made and coming up with new ideas for creative poses! Just a few weeks until her fall session!
