It should come as no surprise to you that I could share each and every photo from this super special senior portrait session. But that would just be me being a proud mama. Instead, I'll pick my very favorites to share and hope you think they're all as gorgeous as I do.
This rainy day session was a bit of a bonus session. This day, we planned on heading out to the fairgrounds for Lauren's fair session. But the rain had other ideas. It rained most of the day that day. When we arrived to our location, it was a gentle drizzle, perfect for photographs.
However, soon after we arrived. The skies opened up...and it poured. Suddenly, this rainy day session went from umbrellas for ambiance to umbrellas necessary. We opened the back gate on my car and I stood under it while photographing her so my equipment wouldn't be ruined. (She still insists I need parkas for my gear like the sideline photographers at sporting events have...her mama's not so sure about that.)
Let's talk about Lauren's fairground session, shall we? Lauren chose the outfit she wanted to wear, down to the adorable hat. I was so excited when I saw how well it went with the fair in the background. We were able to get some adorable photos! Sure there were people in the background, but we just blurred them out a bit and all of the focus stayed right where it should be...on my girl.
This particular photo is probably just a favorite to me as her mama. It's the view I have so often when we go places. It's not unusual for me to be standing beside her as she orders something or is talking to someone. To me, it looks like my girl, so for me, it's a favorite.
If you find a field of wildflowers, you have to stop for a photo, right? It's required.
Soon enough, she'll be saying this to high school. Her mama is in denial...despite the college visits, college acceptance notifications, planning her major, it's all an unbelievable dream to me.
When your friend is a fantastic photographer with her own sunflower field and she lets you use it without even having to ask because she loves your child, you count yourself very, very lucky. And head out there as quickly as you can! We love you, Danie!
I mean, I'M POSITIVE she's the prettiest thing I've ever seen...but no one would fault me for that, right? Most people say she looks like her mama, but to me, she's about a billion times more lovely.
