It's time to start sharing the senior portraits from the class of 2018! As much as I hate summer ending and the kids going back to school, there's something exciting about working with a fresh group of seniors, all excited and ready for the journey that stands before them!
I first met Sydney when she attended my Senior Portrait Open House back in January. (Heads up Class of 2019...your turn is coming in January, 2018!) She was my first attendee so I was lucky enough to be able to spend some time visiting with her. It wasn't until her mom came in a bit later that I realized I knew exactly who Sydney was...her mom and I tumbled together on the Sportabouts team a billion years ago!
While most seniors want their portraits done during the fall, Sydney knew she wanted a summer session in a field with wildflowers. So, a friend was kind enough to let us use the field right in front of her house and it couldn't have been more perfect!
We marched all over the place. Through the tall grass and the wildflowers, on gravel roads, and near the corn. We got some puzzling looks from a neighbor working on his mailbox, but whatever...we just did our own thing!
Sydney said she was a bit nervous when we started her session, but it certainly doesn't show in any of these stunning images. I wore her down and by the end, she was much more at ease. It was a gorgeous evening and we had a great time!
Thank you Sydney and Sasha for making the drive out into the country and spending some time with us! Now, go have a GREAT senior year!!
